These days…
…I am thankful for…
- My partner in life…Ashley. The life I live, the work I do, the person I am, is not possible without her. She shapes the way I think, feel, and act. She inspires me and challenges me. I am better because of her.
- My children…Sam and Addi. They unknowingly shape my understanding of God. They test me, hurt me, and bring me joy all at the same time…I can’t imagine life without them.
- My church…NBC. They patiently wait for the leader in me to grow and learn. They humble me through generosity. They teach me through example. And they challenge me through eagerness to spiritually grow.
…I am reading…
- The Broken Hearth by William Bennett
- Intuitive Leadership by Tim Keel
- Leadership and Self-Deception by the Arbinger Institute
- The Tangible Kingdom – Hugh Halter and Matt Smay
…I am asking…
- Am I leading by example and authenticity rather than just words and performance?
- How do we make church about the people we belong with rather than the place we attend?
- Where can we join God at work within our community?
- How can we intentionally strengthen and encourage the family life?
