Ok…every once in a while you see or read something and think to yourself, “That’s what I am talking about…!” Today, I had one of those moments. Over the last year at nbc…we have been re-imagining church…talking about what could and should be…dreaming about the 7 day a week church rather than the 1 hour a week experience we have made church to be. I like it! My problem is laziness. I have to make an effort to be involved and I would rather spend my time on myself and my family. It’s a good challenge for me. My eyes are officially open for finding something to do!
I think it’s great!
Reminded me of a visit I made with my youth group, when I was a teen, to a local Jewish Synagogue. I thought then, as I do now, it would be great to be part of a church where life’s activities were centered in and around the church.
Although in retrospect, it was all about the members of the Synagogue, not the community. We can / should do it better!
