The morning after…
- The morning after Easter…and yep, He is still risen…
- I am blown away by how many people came to nbc yesterday…I had a number in mind that I thought was aggressive…and I was short by a lot! (I have typed and erased the actual number 4 times, debating if posting it here is wise…but why not…485.)
- Sleep has been hard to find recently…the adrenaline from what is happening around nbc is flowing through my veins…or maybe it is that new energy drink Paul introduced me too…
- Saturday was fun…thanks to all the people who showed up to clean, carry, build, demo, rake, trim, vacuum, dust, sweep, mop, mulch, cook, clean, and clean some more…wow, the building and grounds look great!
- New beginnings come from endings…and right now we are in the middle of a ton of change:
- This weekend we started to prepare a permanent student ministry worship area downstairs in the old building. I am really excited for Justin and his team…we believe it is going to take it to another level.
- We also gutted our office area (a big thanks to all the volunteers who are making this happen)…in hope of creating a more usable work space for pastors, staff and volunteers.
- This weekend we are changing our service time and Sunday morning schedule (church now starts at 10:00AM). Our desire is simple: to engage everyone in deeper levels of relationship with God and one another.
- We are showing a video this next Sunday that is super sweet (can’t give you any details yet because it is top secret…). But I will tell you…it is one of Paul Merrell’s best ever.
- All of these changes are a result of aligning ourselves to the simple vision of life-change, conversation, and living out the ways of Christ. The change is often hard…but the vision of a church living out the Kingdom keeps the flywheel turning…
- The end of service yesterday was cool…it was inspiring to see the front of the church packed with people responding to a call to unashamedly worship the risen Lord. We should do that more often…

The lord has called us to a deeper relationship with him and we are excited to be a part of nbc!
