Learning Together
I am still in school…everyday learning how to lead, how to be a better pastor, how to help people grow spiritually. I have many class rooms…reading, listening, watching others who are succeeding, and even the class of criticism and failure. All of these experiences teach me how to be better…how to grow.
Right now I am learning how to lead people into new places that involve the chance at failure. We are dreaming and discussing how to take some strategic risks that we hope will have huge spiritual impact…but like any change, it involves the risk of failure.
Today I watched a great video about the the lessons of failure. It is worth every one of the eleven minutes it takes to watch…so today, will you come to class with me? Let’s learn together. Click on the “bookie” link to watch this video.

Very encouraging, we do need to take chances, we do need to try outside our box(es). When we do, we may omit a lot of “what IF’s”, and we may even grow through our “OOOPPPPSSSSS. If we do not take chances, are we moving forward???? or are we just status quo?
What a wonderful reminder that God only uses imperfect people. Thaaat’s me!
He refers in the video to those who have “it”, is he making reference to the book “It”? My son in law is reading it and said it is really good.
Shane:
Have attended NBC for approx 3 months now. I was blown away by your compassion and call to “see the bigger picture.” My heart welled up when I heard the spirit of the Lord thru you calling Gods people to be extravagant givers. Great men of God are not coddled, but challenged as “iron sharpens iron” to heed the call of our Master. Jesus referred to money numerous times in the New Testament knowing that is where our “treasures lie.” Giving is as much a part of worship as singing songs and clapping our hands. This is where the proverbial “rubber meets the road.” Continue to urge us on in the weightier matters of the faith. I applaud your stance and look forward to what God is doing @ NBC.
Just another Bro,
