One of my clear desires for nbc is for us to be focused on life-change. I love our church name…New Beginnings…and I think we are called to help people find their new beginning. For some, it might be a simple shift in priority, to move from focused on self to focused on others. For others, it might be a radical surrender of their will and actions, fully committing to living the Way of Jesus and reshaping their lives according to His truth. Life-change will look different for all of us…but will always point us in the direction of God.

Yesterday was one of those days when we focused on life-change. The challenge was simple…begin to follow Jesus, today. I was floored with how many people looked up at me and made a decision to follow Jesus. Sunday was truly a day of life-change.

Here is one of the many messages I have received already from people who marked yesterday as the day they began to follow Jesus.

“I was one of the people at church today who decided that today was the today that I would stop living for myself and start being consumed with Christ. I have been going to New Beginnings for about 5 months and have loved every single week. Before this year, I had not been to church since I was a kid. For a long time, I was a non-believer and then something told me this year that I was wrong and needed to find a church home. Thank goodness I did, I am 100% sure I would not have made it through this year without my newly found faith in God. And I am also very grateful that I have found my church.”
